My internet bundle details minimum download speeds of 1mbps with maximum speeds of 2mbps. For some reason I have non been getting those speeds at all. Infact, I have been getting 1mbps UPLOAD speeds and 0.20-0.50mbps download speeds. Is at that place whatsoever reason my upload speeds would be and then much higher than my download speeds? I've tried fiddling with my router by irresolute the DNS (to Google servers), changing the wifi channels, connecting straight to my router with an ethernet cable, etc. but zippo seems to be working. My Internet service provider sent me an email that their servers show I am getting over 1.2mbps download speeds with a graph visually detailing the speeds, yet I accept not been getting that.
At that place is no 1 else connected to my router, I have checked several times, and I don't have any background processes on my estimator that would affect my speeds. At this signal I take no idea why my speeds are the way that they are. Anyone accept whatsoever inkling what could exist wrong?
(It's the aforementioned on my mobile device also).

That's messed up. Have you tried plugging direct into the router temporarily to bank check speeds? If wired runs at rated speed then can start working thru wireless troubleshooting.
As asked higher up, what kind of connexion?

I tried direct plugging into the router, got the verbal aforementioned speeds. There is the graph my ISP sent me, showing clearly I am getting over 1mbps internet speeds. However, my bodily connection speeds say much dissimilar.

Might effort a new cable between router and modem or try plugging directly into modem and rechecking. bad cable would explain why speed to the modem is showing faster than speed at the router.
Would say to update drivers but since both wired and wireless are both doing it probably wouldnt aid.

Are you SURE that no one else is leaching your wireless connexion? Is it password protected?
I've checked my router status, I'yard the merely one connected. I've tried turning off all of my wifi enabled devices to make the speed examination every bit accurate as possible. I have WPA2-PSK password protection on my router.

I simply double-checked my connection via an ethernet cable and funny enough information technology was much meliorate, actually met the minimum speed. So, I estimate it may be just my router after all, any guesses what may be wrong with it?
